Frequently Asked Questions
Will you tattoo a minor?
While other shops may tattoo you as a minor (accompanied by a parent), we prefer to wait until you are 18 to support your bodily autonomy and feel completely empowered throughout the process with your chosen Artist.
Our focus is on providing you with the best outcome possible for your tattoo.

How do I book a tattoo appointment?
The best way to discuss a project with an Artist is through their Artist page.
Each of our Artists has a profile page featuring a portfolio of their work with a consult form or a link to a booking page.
Once you submit a form, your Artist will contact you directly to discuss how best to move forward with your request.

When will I hear back from my Artist?
Each Artist is responsible for communicating with you to discuss your project, schedule consults and appointments. Our Artists try to reply within a week or so, but this will depend on their schedules. Please be sure to answer every question your artist asks when you reply - it will speed up the process!

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, your Artist will request a booking fee (or retainer) when you accept an offered appointment date. The retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable.
See our Booking Policy for more information.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to reschedule any appointment to another date.
If you or your Artist are sick, your retainer will apply to your rescheduled appointment, with one rebook permitted per project.
IF:
• You give less than 72 hours notice
• You are not able to commit to your appointment or another appointment within 6 months
OR
If you do not come to your appointment without communicating, you will not be there.
A new retainer will be required to book another appointment.
See our Booking Fee Policy for more information.

How much does a tattoo cost and how do you charge for tattoos?
Your artist will base the cost on the amount of detail, size, and time required to complete your project. We ask you to choose the Artist whose work best represents the style of tattoo you want. The rate they provide is specific to your project and the outcome you desire.

Is there a minimum tattoo cost?
Because we accommodate Short Notice and walk-in tattoos, a minimum would be any tattoo that takes less than an hour to finish, so the minimum price is 1 hour of the available Artists' hourly rate.

Are Walk-Ins Welcome?
We are open by Appointment Only.

We do have Artists who schedule walk-in availability, typically on weekday afternoons, and we post availability on IG and FB stories about how to contact the artist about their availability.

We also accommodate Short Notice Tattoo requests for palm-sized pieces or smaller, as Artists have availability or cancellations. The more flexible your schedule is, the easier it is to accommodate. This is typically within a week or so of your request.

Please fill out our Short Notice Availability Form so an Artist can get back to you. Please include an image of the design you want to get.

Do you do cover-ups?
We do have Artists who would love to discuss your cover-up project.
This will require an in-person consultation to plan out how best to proceed.
Planning a cover-up is worth the time for the consultation and discussion because we want you to be happy with the result.

When should I arrive for my appointment?
We ask you to arrive promptly, 5 minutes before your appointment is perfect.
Please contact your Artist when you arrive; they will meet you in the lobby and bring you up for your appointment.
If you arrive earlier, be prepared to wait for your Artist in the lobby while they are busy setting up for your appointment. Your Artist will bring you up as soon as they are able to do so.

Can I use my phone during my appointment?
If you plan on watching/listening to media on your phone during your appointment,
headphones are required.
We ask that you respect other artists and clients who prefer a single sound source while you visit our studio. Please use your headphones and listen at a reasonable volume so as not to distract your artist.
Please do not use your speakerphone for phone calls during your appointment, as this can also be distracting to others.
We have reminders posted throughout the studio, so please come prepared!

Can I bring a guest with me to my appointment?
Extra Guests are limited to people who have scheduled matching tattoos.
Guests can add a level of distraction to both the Artist and to you during your appointment.
Our focus is on providing you with the best outcome possible for your tattoo.

Can I bring my kids with me to my appointment?
Children, more than guests, add a level of distraction to both the Artist and you during your appointment—and they may also distract other Artists and their clients.
Please arrange for childcare prior to your appointment so we can focus our undivided attention on your tattoo experience.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your own snacks, and drinks for your appointment, and headphones should you plan on using your phone for phone calls or to listen to any media.

What payment types do you take?
Typically we accept cash or E-transfer.
Discussing this with your Artist before your appointment is best, so you come prepared!
